6 - Monthly Web Traffic Report

Enterprise Web Filter reporting provides overall Web request reporting (Traffic) as well as blocked Web request reporting (Blocked).  This article illustrates the Monthly Web Traffic Report (i.e., overall amount of traffic and corresponding network bandwidth use)

To view Web reports:

  1. Navigate to Enterprise Web Filter → Reports ... the Monthly Web Traffic Report runs by default, for the current month. A graphical display makes spotting heavy/light activity simple. The numerical "breakout" is displayed below. The 8th of May(2007/05/07) is the heaviest activity in the example below.  You may change year & month for historical reporting (click View)

  2. Selecting a different Group automatically re-runs the report for that group.

  3. Selecting a different Organization automatically re-runs the report for that organization.  

  4. Drill-down is supported using links, such as Date (below).

  1. As you drill-down other links may appear for further drill-down, such as Time, URL, or Username. The links make sense within the context of what you've drilled down into.

  2. Clicking 2007/05/08 above brings up traffic for the day, broken out hourly. Note the options to view Site information (Sites by Day), or User information (Users by Day).  Note the drill-down link is now Time.  Monthly Traffic simply takes you back to the monthly report view.
